 f the Month! \nAbout Taizé\nWhat is a Taizé Contemplative Worship Exper
 ience? It is named after a small village called Taizé in France which\, s
 ince 1940\, has been the home of an ecumenical Christian monastic communit
 y. Members of the Taizé community belong to several different Christian d
 enominations. Catholics\, Anglicans\, Protestants\, Orthodox and others li
 ve and pray together in multiple languages\, share a simple life and welco
 me thousands of visitors and pilgrims who come to spend time with them eve
 ry year from all over the world.\nTaizé Contemplative Worship Experiences
  are comprised of silence and song\, candlelight and stillness\, prayer an
 d contemplation. The music is unique and distinctive. Taizé chants featur
 ing deceptively simple refrains that are repeated\, mantra-like\, by the g
 athered congregation\, and occasionally\, instrumental and vocal soloists 
 add verses on top of the repeated refrains.\nThe music is accessible\, par
 ticipatory\, and meditative.\nAll who attend are invited to sink into the 
 experience\, to pray\, and to use the silence and meditative music as an o
 pportunity to listen to the “still\, small voice” within.\nCome as you
  are and experience the peace.
