 nAbout Taizé\nWhat is a Taizé Contemplative Worship Experience? It is na
 med after a small village called Taizé in France which\, since 1940\, has
  been the home of an ecumenical Christian monastic community. Members of t
 he Taizé community belong to several different Christian denominations. C
 atholics\, Anglicans\, Protestants\, Orthodox and others live and pray tog
 ether in multiple languages\, share a simple life and welcome thousands of
  visitors and pilgrims who come to spend time with them every year from al
 l over the world.\nTaizé Contemplative Worship Experiences are comprised 
 of silence and song\, candlelight and stillness\, prayer and contemplation
 . The music is unique and distinctive. Taizé chants featuring deceptively
  simple refrains that are repeated\, mantra-like\, by the gathered congreg
 ation\, and occasionally\, instrumental and vocal soloists add verses on t
 op of the repeated refrains.\nThe music is accessible\, participatory\, an
 d meditative.\nAll who attend are invited to sink into the experience\, to
  pray\, and to use the silence and meditative music as an opportunity to l
 isten to the “still\, small voice” within.\nCome as you are and experi
 ence the peace.
