About Rev. Sally
Sally McShane was born in NS and still has a trace of the Atlantic in her voice and personality despite 24 years on the west coast. She retired from full time ministry in 2022 after 35 very interesting years serving on both coasts. A Masters in Spirituality and Pastoral Response, specializing in trauma response, took her to prison as a student chaplain and later helped her to serve the people on the streets of Vancouver through First United. In April, depending on the war, she hopes she will be in Palestine listening. She is Mom to 3 sons and grandma to 2 curious and wonder filled boys. In 2020 her Irish soul mate died of cancer. She gained wisdom and strength from C.S. Lewis’ own journey through grief in his book Grief Observed. Presently she hangs with Matthew and Noah, leads retreats, writes novels and travels….and is learning to dance again. Delighted to be with the Inlet Community for four months.
